How to enter flash mode

  • Fastboot Mode: Power on the device by holding down Power and Volume Down.
  • Recovery Mode: Power on the device by holding down Power and Volume Up.

Installation

Note Note: Device has not been merged to pmaports yet (See pmaports!5959)

Use pmbootstrap to build your own installation image.

$ pmbootstrap init
$ pmbootstrap install --fde

There are multiple ways to flash rootfs:

Before installing rootfs, please erase dtbo_b (dtbo_a reserved for android)

$ fastboot erase dtbo_b

1.Flash rootfs to the userdata partition:

  • Flashing the rootfs to userdata does not allow for dual boot and will wipe all your Android user data
  • This method gives you the most available disk space for postmarketOS
$ pmbootstrap flasher flash_rootfs --partition userdata
$ pmbootstrap flasher flash_kernel --partition boot_b
$ fastboot set_active b

2.Flash rootfs to the super partition:

  • This method does not erase your Android user data
  • The super partition is rather limited in size
 $ pmbootstrap flasher flash_rootfs --partition super
 $ pmbootstrap flasher flash_kernel --partition boot_b
 $ fastboot set_active b

NFC

The device itself does not have NFC, but in the Xiaomi keyboard case with a touchpad version, it is integrated into the keyboard.

Audio

All 4 speakers are working, including in stereo, but the microphone is not working yet.

Camera

Only the rear camera is working, and it has poor quality.

HDMI/DP

Works, but the monitor is not always detected. Try disconnecting the monitor from the power supply before connecting the cable.
